Carbon: The Unauthorised Biography - Free Community Screening
Stirling SquareMeadow Street Guildford, WA 6055Want to learn more about carbon and climate change? The City of Swan and Transition Town Guildford are presenting a free screening of 'Carbon: The Unauthorised Biography' on Friday, October 14 from 6pm at Stirling Square, Guildford!
With Carbon in the news every day, you might think you know everything about her. But you’d be wrong. This spectacular and surprisingly unorthodox documentary reveals the paradoxical story of the element that builds all life, and yet may end it all.
This event is suitable for all ages, the film is G-rated. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event.
Fun activities and entertainment will start from 6pm, including a bicycle blender to make banana smoothies with regular or soy milk available, waste education information and activities, popcorn and Drummers for Climate Action.
Bring a lawn chair or picnic rug and a reusable water bottle and enjoy a picnic with family or friends under the stars. The film will begin at 7pm (when dark).
Bike racks will be available and a filtered refillable water bottle station will be available to use.
If you cycle, take public transport or walk to event you will receive free popcorn! Some popcorn will also be available for a gold coin donation to support Trillion Trees. Limited supply, grab some before it's gone!
Strictly no parking on the verge of Stirling Square to prevent damage of the historic Sugar Gum trees.
Please note that you won't need to bring a printed copy of your ticket.
